PODD 2026 · SHERATON BOSTON HOTEL · OCTOBER 29–30, 2026
Do you have a compound whose bioavailability has stalled its path to first-in-human, or an approved asset where poor adherence is undercutting an effect the science already proved? Either way, the molecule isn’t the problem. The delivery route is.
ARx has spent over two decades closing that gap, building oral thin film and transdermal formats that get more of a compound into circulation and give underserved patients a reliable way to take it.
As a fourth-generation, family-owned drug delivery partner and CDMO, we pair your molecule with our proven delivery formats to offer a faster path to clinic.

GETTING STARTED WITH ARx
Whether a program is starting from a blank formulation, an approved asset needing a new format, or a stalled transfer with nowhere to go, ARx can take it on.
The same team that runs feasibility screening carries a program through NDA or ANDA filing and into commercial-scale production, with no handoff and no one re-learning the compound partway through.
An approved asset isn’t locked into its original format. When a patent window is closing or a formulation is losing patients to poor adherence, a new delivery route can be the fix, and ARx carries that reformulation through to commercial launch.
When a program needs a new manufacturing home, process knowledge has to move with it. ARx has handled complex transfers across oral thin film and transdermal formats, including programs other CDMOs could not deliver on.
Oral thin film and transdermal formats improve therapeutic onset and strengthen patient adherence. For programs indicated for elderly, pediatric, or oncology populations, that distinction is clinical, not cosmetic.
FOR COMPOUNDS THAT NEED FLEXIBLE ABSORPTION ROUTES

Sits on the tongue and dissolves within 5 to 30 seconds, releasing API into saliva for absorption through the GI tract. It supports drug loading up to 65mg across salts, free-base compounds, and potent APIs, making it a practical option for patients with dysphagia, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Placed under the tongue, it dissolves and enters systemic circulation directly through the sublingual mucosa, bypassing hepatic first-pass metabolism entirely. In human studies, API appeared in plasma within 5 minutes, with peak concentration reached by 30 minutes, the fastest onset of any oral route.

Adheres to the inner cheek, releasing API through the buccal mucosa over a controlled window of 30 minutes to 12 hours while also bypassing first-pass metabolism. In testing, buccal films achieved 2x the systemic exposure of conventional formats at just 25% of the drug loading, with no toxic metabolites detected.
FOR COMPOUNDS THAT NEED SYSTEMIC OR LOCALIZED DELIVERY

Applied to the skin, it routes API directly into systemic circulation, bypassing GI transit and first-pass hepatic metabolism entirely. Controlled release extends up to 7 days per application, supported by enhancer combinations engineered to keep plasma levels steady over time.

Positioned at the treatment site itself, it confines exposure to local tissue rather than systemic circulation. Release rate and duration are calibrated to the indication, tissue type, and API permeability, limiting the risk of side effects that come with broader systemic exposure.
FOR POTENT, LOW-DOSE COMPOUNDS
ARx’s proprietary micro-deposition technology deposits micro-sized formulations directly onto the film surface, rather than dispersing them through a polymer matrix, giving high-potency and hard-to-formulate compounds a level of dosing precision conventional film loading can’t reach.
